| A friend just spent some big bucks on a Predator (sorry, I meant POF) upper, he uses Black Hills ammo, and fired and unfired rounds have been getting stuck in the chamber and are not being ejected. It's a piston upper, and some of the casings have the edge ripped right off of them on the outer perimeter of the round casing where the extractor clamps down on it, not completely ripped off a like a shell extractor tool is designed to handle. It's like the extractor grabs the shell and then rips the edge right off it rahter than pulling it out, the BCG appears to be fine, anyone else experienced this? The casings feed by hand and can be inserted without any force, no burs in the barrel, however if fired then require a cleaing rod to ram back out. |

Sounds like a rough/tight chamber, and a bit of over function as well (action trying to open too soon when the bore is still under too much residual pressure, with the case still too high pressure welded to the chamber to be extracted cleanly).
Really, a call to Bushmaster is warranted on this one to get the problem resolved since it may be that a new barrel is needed. |
