I bought a RRA that came with a RRA Entry Length A2 stock already installed.  I removed the stock body, but the tube is giving me problems.    I'm afraid to torque it too much......
How much pressure does it take to bend the receiver or break it?
Any tricks to get it unscrewed???

Apply a bit of heat and tap it with a non-marring hammer, or let the threads soak in some penetrating oil for at least 15 minutes before you vise the receiver and twist that bitch off. Someone will be along shortly to give you better advice I'm sure.

Any other advise before I put the torch to it?

Heat the tube to just above 650* and point/keep the fame moving away from the receiver (read let the heat transfer back up the tube to the threaded).

When the loctite bond breaks, you will smell a very sweet smell.

Will this ruin the tube?

No, you are only heating the tube up to under 700*, and no where getting the metal to turn to red/ a different color( not even close to a dull red). Keep the flame moving and just wait until you smell something sweet, which is the loctite bond (thread lock agent) breaking.

+1 Loctite is good stuff when you know how to use it properly

I don't understand why manufacturers are doing this crap. I find lock tite on every damn thing anymore.

Turn it while hot! Otherwise, as it cools it hardens up again.

I've got the same thing on a brand new RRA. I guess I wasn't heating it up enough. Why does RRA use Loctite instead of just staking the castle nut?
It's just as good, and easier to change if you have to. Does RRA use Loctite on all it's rifles?
