New to this forum, forgive me if I ask a silly question...

I built an AR from parts. The upper and lower kit is from M&A Parts, the lower is DPMS.

Looks great, but doesn't want to load shells.

Load the first it's ok, pull trigger, boom. It won't feed another shell into the chamber.

I bought three mags from M&A and all three mags do the same. A buddy said I didn't have enough lube on the BCG. I lubed it with Break Free. A tiny bit better. Still has issues.

Is it a mag problem? They ran me $11 a piece, cheap I know. Or is it something with the gun? My fourth build and all others seem to run fine. Is there a perfect mag out there?

HELP! Please...

Describe the position of the round.  Is is still in the mag lips?  Is it nosed into the chamber?  Is it nose down in the mag?

A pic would help too.

Definately borrow a salty old time tested ammo from a friend to eliminate that first.

The ammo is sitting in the mag. Like the Bolt is hitting the mag and stopping. 4 different types of ammo, and no russian crap.

gotta be mags?

Does the bolt stay locked back? If it stays locked back and you've deduced that it isn't the mags,I would check the tension of the bolt release. Sometimes the spring or even the pin(in the mag realease) will not let it move freely. Take the mag out of the rifle and close the bolt. Now check to see if your release will move up and down easily. If not, lube it and play with it until it does. Sometimes the manufacturer will ship out an out-of -spec part. No prob, just replace!
I hope you get her running!

I'm guessing mags.  What does it say on the floor plate?
