I looked through this entire trouble shooting forum for the answer before posting. I have two Stag Arms complete lowers. My second lower has a very tight magwell. The magazines go in smoothly, there is no feeling of friction or grittiness. I've check the magazine catch, and it isn't rubbing against the magazines. I have tried this with 12 different magazines, including 20-rounders, none will drop free and must be pulled out. Its mated to a Spike Tactical dedicated .22 upper, so drop free magazines are not absolutely necessary, but I would welcome a fix. Suggestions and comments welcome.

best regards,

Luis Leon

Look up into the magwell.  Right where the upper and lower meet.  Is the transition continuous or is there a high low spot.  I found a RRA lower like that and had the same problem.  You can also do some measuring.

So do you just sand it down, or try to get a replacement? Not sure when a replacement will be available these days.

Stag's C.S. dept is top notch, call before you sand.

Quick thing to look at, my mags were not dropping free from a build I just finished, and it was because of the trigger guard. I sanded down the trigger guard, and all the mags drop free now. Just something to check before sending that lower back.
