I am having problems with my gun short stroking after 15-20 shots after each cleaning of the gun, and I am getting very frustrated trying to get the problem solved. It is a brand new gun only have had about 100-125 shots through it. I was just cleaning the gun and noticed where the gas tube is connected to the gas block there is a lot of black around the gas tube. Is this normal for the gas tube to turn black? Is gas leaking through the gas block and causing my problem of short stroking?

Thanks for your help.

Yes this is normal.  there is generally a lot of carbon build up in that area of the gun.  Check your bolt carrier to make sure your gas thingy (cant think of the name right now) is on securely.  It sits on top of the bolt carrier.  Make sure the screws are tight, are lock tited, and staked properly.  Also what kind of ammo are you running through it.  If it is WOLF ammo there is your problem.
