Was bump firing my ar yesterday. It would shoot a 3 round burst and then not chamber a round. Is this a built in safety feature? Or do i need to upgrade something?

thanks

DOes it happen when you're not bumb firing?

No. The rifle works 100% all the time. This only happens on the bump fire.

I wouldn't really worry about it then. It isn't a safety feature, and there is nothing to upgrade.

The rifle isn't intended to shoot that way, so it's wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't work reliably.

Note: BATF has deemed that any device that controls the FCG in such a fashion that you are are only pulling or pushing something once to get multi-fires is a NFA controlled item.

Trust me, this also includes the shoe lace trick!!!!!

You still only pull or push the trigger once while bump firing. Even with the shoe lace or rubber band.

Its the design of your finger. You may wish to send it back to the factory for adjustment.

It could be your finger was designed that way with a built in safety feature to save you money on ammo and from shooting birds and cows out of the sky with your fine carefully fired aim at only what you are prepared to destroy fire control.
