SO I want to do the SPR build and get a stripped lower, LPK, 2 stage trigger(rock river),A2 stock. I take it to the funshow to let the company I got it all from to put it together for me so I dont bogger up the lower. I have a colt 20" upper I put on it to try out a few rounds. I pull the charging handle and the bolt wont go worward. I push the bolt catch nothing. Take the mag out and the bolt catch goes limp. Put mag back in the catch tightens up like it wants to work right but nothing. I pull bouth pins to try and seperate the lower and upper but wont come apart. WTF???????? |
You would have figured the person who put it together would have done a function test to see if the rifle was working correctly. Also he could have cycled some dummy rounds to ensure the weapon was cycling correctly and checked it with the magazine in the well. JMHO though. I guess the funshow has folded up there tents and moved on to the next city right.? No chance of taking it back to them?

| Sounds like you are missing a buffer spring and or buffer, and the bolt carrier is inside the buffer tube. You gotta get that bolt carrier back into the upper receiver, using inertia or by pulling the bolt back with your fingers. As for the bolt catch spring it may be incorrectly installed. |
