I have an AR15 rifle that when I was shooting the other day, the stock would collapse during firing a notch at a time until it was fully contracted. At first I thought it was my sling - removed, still same problem. Then I thought I must be hitting the button - was mindful, still same problem. We then zip tied the latch screw and the problem stopped. My question is, how do I extend that screw notch or tighten in a way that it won't collapse on me anymore during firing? I have a nice welt beside my mouth because of hitting the charging handle when it collapsed one of the times. Makes you develop a slight flinch when firing. Thanks. |
| had a buddy with the EXACT same problem. you have the old school car stock on it don't you? his pin was loose inside the stock due to shoddy construction, the only fix was to get a new stock (just the plastic part not the tube assembly). when the rifle would fire the pin would tilt back giving enough angle for it to lose its grip and collapse. i guarantee that is what is going on with yours |
