I have a FTF with the 1st round. It doesn't happen every time. This happens with all mags and mags that work fine on other rifles. Sometimes the 1st round feeds but the bolt doesn't lock into battery properly leaving the bolt and carrier locked up tight enough that I have to take it apart or bang the buttstock on the table. Rifle is well lubed This also can happen anytime while shooting. Same ammo and reloads work fine with other rifles. RRA said the locking up was typical of out of spec ejectors or springs and replaced them. I bought a RRA buffer tube and spring and replaced it. I can always us the spares anyway. I think I may have 2 different problems. (1) short chamber(headspace) (2) Mags not fitting into the mag well properly. Other then sending it to RRA what do you suggest? **Updated** I got the AR back from RRA today. They said the gas port was out of spec. I'll see what happens at the range this weekend. |
