| hey guys i was putting my receiver extension back on and i tightened the castle nut down to hard because now i cant get it off. Any ideas. |

Are you using a two prong castle nut wrench? Also, did you use loctite? If your backing up only the tube, then the receiver will want to turn with the nut (read prong on the plate will bend a bit and dig into the slot in the tube. Lower vice block the receiver (mag well insert works for this), and hold onto the tube so it doesn't twist, and you should be able to break the nut loose off the plate without problems. If you are only backing up the tube or the receiver alone, then you going to have problems, and even worse if the plate tab has peened into the tube slot/threads/bent, and marred the threads. |

zthe castle nut wrench is 3 hook.the tube allready had some messed up threads and it is looking like the tube is about 5-10 deg. off center I am problbly going to have to go up to the shop to get it off cause i am giving it everything i got and it will not budge. |

Looking from the butt stock to the muzzle, the castle nut has to be spun counter-clock wise on the tube to spin back. If you don't have a lower vise block, sit on the lower receiver on firm chair with the receiver in a towel, and hold/back up the tube with your other hand as you wrench the castle nut loose. |
