Hello,

I have an 11.5" full-auto Bushmaster that will not fire full auto anymore since installation of a new VLTOR EMOD buttstock. The buffer is an H buffer. The gun fires perfectly on semiauto, but in full auto one round fires and thats it. I just sit there with the trigger still depressed. The gun ejects the one and the next round feeds but does not fire. There is a light primer strike on the round that does not fire after I manually eject it and inspect it. It seems some times like the bolt does not go all the way forward but it is very close, so looking at the ejection port it LOOKS like it is in battery but it really isnt. Any suggestions? Thanks.

that would have a thing to do with it, unless you changed the receiver extension. Did you?

Yes, the buttstock comes with a new tube and I changed it.

Check the sear release gap, and did you switch Recoil springs.

Also, was the old stock a carbine or full length stock?

P.S. Welcome to the site!!!

Thanks for the welcome, and the old stock was a carbine stock, Bushmaster collapsible. I am wondering now if I changed the spring or if maybe they got switched, are the springs different or just the buffers?

What is the sear release gap?

This is the distances that the front of the carrier is off the back of the receiver extension when the hammer is released from the sear (you can use a gauge at the front of the ejection port as you ride the B/C via the CH with the trigger just taped back to figure this out).
