I recently purchased a colt match H-bar in ,223.Every time I try to run wolf ammo thru it the bolt will short-stroke or not go back to eject the casing.I have cleaned the rifle from end to end and get the same results with the wolf ammo.Is there any fix for this.I have a colt in 7.62x39 and have run hundreds of rounds of wolf thru it without a problem.Any ifo would help.

In my experience, Wolf 5.56 is 'light'.  Your new rifle has not been worn in as well.

Shoot the rifle with a hotter load for a few hundred rounds then try the Wolf ammo again.

I think I will try that route.I'm sitting with 400-500 rounds of wolf that I can not return. The gun is new so it could be like you said ,tight and needs to loosen up a bit for that premium wolf ammo.Ha!Ha! Thanks for input.

Chamber cleaned with a real chamber brush/solvent then all the solvent completely removed before the rifle was shot (read no Hoppes copper solvent left in the chamber as a protective coating)?

Bearing surfaces of the upper receiver, including the buffer and spring lubed with CLP (read on the heavy side for both break in and to run wolf ammo)?

Also, you have pulled the recoil spring and checked for end of wind burs that may be scrapping down the inside of the buffy tube?

USGI type mags being use, and not some cheap knock off type?
