I have a home assembled rifle using DPMS lower and parts kit. It fires fine but the trigger sticks after firing a round and does not move back to the ready position to fire another round emediately. I can hear an audible click when it does move back forward. The trigger seems to stick for maybe a second or so and then will move forward to the ready position.

I went back and checked my assembly process to be sure I assembled everything correctly and I can't find any issues.

Any input is appreciated...

Check for a sticking Disconnector. Big part of Disco spring goes down. I bet you will find the big part is up and dragging in the trigger slot.

Did you de-bur and lube the FCG parts before installing them?
(read clean up the ends of the trigger C channels and confirm that the trigger and disco on the trigger will rotate on the pin without binding outside of the rifle before it they where installed)?  Also, did you check the edges of the hammer secondary sear (the rear one) and the disco sear for milling edge burs as well?

Good advise right there.

Thanks for the replies guys.

The first thing I thought about when I ran into this was the Disco spring so I verified that I didn't install it upside down first thing.

I will take it apart and check for burrs though. I did not preassemble the parts on the pin before assembly although I did lube them when I assembled the rifle. I'll pay special attention to the contact surfaces when I do and de burr accordingly.
