| Just took my new build out today for a test fire, unfortunately the bolt isn't cycling correctly....The first round fires fine, second round has the normal floating firing pin mark on the primer but the hammer won't throw. Cracked it open and yes the hammer is cocked, the round feels like it's completely seated in the chamber, tried the assist - no luck. Took the bolt apart, cleaned everything and re-assembled - upon re-assembly I test fired and emptied a 30 rd clip with 1 trigger pull! COOL, but it's not suppose to do that. After that exiteing incident it's back to doing the single shot issue. I tried multiple magazines, The manufacturer assures me the headspace was correct and tested when it left the factory - HELP!?! |
| First thing I would check is your disconnector and spring for proper installation. The fat end of the disconnector spring goes down into the trigger. It sounds like your disconnector is not moving as it needs to to prevent auto fire, then when you get it to do so, it won't let the hammer fall to the sear engagement surface at the front of the trigger. |

Refer to this thread As said before. Your hammer is probably following the BCG to battery and is "slam firing". This is extremely dangerous as the rifle can fire out of battery causing a kaboom. Don't shoot it until you've gotten it fixed/repaired. |
