I just got a complete colt 4 pos carbine stock, i replaced a CAA 6pos stock with it It, the buffer is alot heavier than that CAA buffer and it has H2 etched in the middle of plus the spring coils seem to be thicker in diameter, that is what i noticed MY question is when i put the upper back on the lower (stag lower,BUSHYupper) and tilted the rifle up and down the weights made alot louder sound smacking back and fourth, just wanted to make sure that this was normal for it to make louder sounds dew to the weight. (you can make fun of me if this is a stupid question but kinda new to the technichal side of the black rifle) |

Aww, don't beat yourself up..........it's not a stupid question if you don't know the answer. The only stupid question is the one left un-asked. It is normal, the H2 has, i believe, 2 tungsten and 1 steel, versus the H that has 2 steel and 1 tungsten. Use the H2 on your Colt. |

The H2 buffer is indeed heavier. It has tungsten weights instead of steel weights. I don't know that this would make it louder. There should be some rubber or plastic discs between the weights to make them a bit quieter. You may want to remove the pin at the rear of the buffer and take the rubber buffer off and check the weights and see if the discs are in place. |
