Ok, I have a Bushmaster M4A3 and recently it has decided that it doesn't want to feed properly. Every time I fire it, it will eject the casing but will not load another round and thus have to manually load after every shot. Anyone have any idea what this is caused by? Any help would be appreciated.

I can't believe no one has any suggestions!

First thing that you need to do is short stroke test the rifle,

This test is done by loading a single round into the mag, load and charge the single round into the rifle from the mag, and fire it with the empty mag still in the rifle.  If the rifle is full stroking, then the bolt will lock back on the blot catch after the short.  If the rifle will not pass this test, they you will need to break the rifle down, fully clean/lube it correctly, and retest*.

Also, if you are using wolf ammo, you will need to get a case of brass case ammo to break the rifle in before you may able to run the wolf ammo in the rifle.  Bushmaster chambers their barrels on the tighter side, and the chamber will need to break in through live fire before you will have success with the coated ammo.

Do this test, and get back to use with the results.

P.S. Most of us post late at night, so you may have to idle it back of bit and wait until one of us logs on for the evening before you get inpatient in the turbo mode bouncing off the walls

Ok, I am using WWB not Wolf ammo, so that's not the problem, also the mags are new in case that could affect it.

Still waiting for results from the short stroke test.

OK, I have rebiult the entire rifle, Changing my M4A3 to a 20" Hbar with an A3 upper (the only one I had laying around). Everything has been replaced except for the lower and the bolt and carrier. I took it out today and it is still short stroking (I did the short stroke test and the bolt only came back half way and stopped) I tried a different carrier with the same bolt and it functioned perfectly. Do I need to replace the carrier or is there anything I can do to fix the current carrier?

Check the allen key bolts on the carrier.  If are not still tight or one of the heads is snapped off from the threads, give Bushmaster a call and have them send you a new set as a factory warranty.

To install the new ones,

Does this rifle have lots of rounds?? Sounds like a carbon problem. Carbon builds in the bolt tunnel (small hole at back of bolt housing in carrier). Suggest scraper, or 9mm to 40cal bronze brush on the end of a drill. May have to mod an old cleaning rod, for depth. Dip the brush in your favorite solvent and run her through on med speed a few times. Should stop your short stroke problem. Good luck and post results.

The rifle has under 1000 rounds through it (.223 can be expensive) but I have used Wolf (oops). I'll try cleaning out the carrier and see if that fixes it.
