Big problem here. The upper receiver has major discoloration. I have only used light coats of Rem oil EVER, and the AR was never put in the case hot. This weapon is only 1 year old with about 1000 rnds fired. I have not tried to contact RRA yet, I thought I'd post here first for some insight on what might have caused this.

... Cu_ stains? Or just improper preparation of the base before coating...

Did you put it in a foam case ? The foam has sucked all the oil up....oil it up with CLP and rub it in. Then spray CLP on an old black t-shirt ( not soaking but enough ) and wrap that arounf your rifle b4 you put it back in the case.
