I dropped my lower on my stairs (concrete) leading into my garage.  The rear takedown pin broke and the takedown detent pin broke (easily replaced).  But, it also looks like a small piece of aluminum was broken on the lower (inside the takedown pin hole).  How will this affect the weapon (not the replaceable pins)?

Break out your camera and let's see what it looks like - no way to tell with out a good quality pic.

Sounds like when you broke the take-down/detent pin, you may have cracked the detent channel.  If you chunked a bit enough pieces out of it, the detent pin will come out with the takedown pin if pulled hard enough.

If all else fails, you can make a longer takedown detent pin, and shorten the detent spring.  With the longer retaining pin, the detent should stay in the channel and not be pulled/leveraged out.
