I used the handguard removal tool to remove the handguards but now that I have put them back on it doesn't seem to me that the delta ring is back on there as tight and the handguards have some play in them now. Any way of tightening the delta ring or of making sure it's over the ends of the handguards far enough. Thanks.  Mark

The rear inner section of the guards has a relieved section that grabs into the spines of the barrel nut.  After a while of pulling and reinstalling the guards, the inner section of them gets chewed up, and the guards start to twist a bit.

As for the delta ring, you should slightly rotate it back and forth to walk it up the outer edge of the guards if you have installed them correctly.

As for tightening up just the delta ring, there is no adjustment in it.

After the handgaurds are back on check to see if the end cap is loose, this happened to my bushy m/4 which was quickly resolved with some loctite around the end cap!

You might want to check to make sure the weld spring (it is underneath the Delta Ring) is not broken. I have had one break (ironically, the welds in the spring broke) into sections which allowed my Delta Ring to loosen. To check this, remove your handguards again, and see if the Delta Ring is still loaded and pushed forward to the serrations on the barrel nut. If it is not "loaded," a quick visual check of the Weld Spring will reveal wether or not it is broken.

Good luck....
