I removed my front sight. Now the gun will not shoot semi-auto. It shoots only single shot. What can I do to fix this? Please assist. Thanks.

Front sight is also the gas block.  You can put a low profile gas block on if you don't want the front sight.

Did you wonder what the tube that stuck out of it did?

I'm by no means an expert but I think you're in over you head.

If you mean just the front sight post, then the FSB gas channel was drilled wrong, and the upper/barrel needs to be sent back.

If you mean the whole front sight base, then the gas tube attached to it should have been the dead giveaway.

My guess is that you have a front sight base on a flat top, and you removed the FSB when you installed a scope.  If this is the case, then if the front ears are blocking the scopes vision, you can replace the standard front sighted base with a varmint type gas block.

But I have to add, unless you have a DCM float tube/ ofrround float tube installed on the rig, when you pulled the FSB, what is keeping the hand guards front falling off the barrel?
