What would make a new LMT shoot left? I have two BUIS (Colt carry handle & MAD GGG) and need to move both 4/5 to the right to get the gun on target. However the EOTECH is right on at 150 feet. My guess is that the problem is my cheek and eye alignment (I wear glasses). Any recomendations for my next range visit woul be appreciated. Thanks

Well if you believe that it may be you, have someone else shoot it and see how it does.

As for mechanical problems, the barrel could be twisted in the upper receiver, or the front sight could be canted.

4/5 ???   Is this clicks off center mark to zero?

If so, don't worry about the slight off center setting.  Mil spec is anything less than 14 clicks off center is good to go.

I'm assuming that he means 4/5 (four fifths) of the distance from center to edge, not 4 or 5 clicks.

4/5ths of the distance is about two good leather hammer blows to drift the barrel back to the correct index.

My first guess would be the front sight is canted.

Real good info guys. I very much appreciate your comments. Yes I have let another shoot it and he got the same results. I plan on another trip to the NRA range tomorrow and try it out again. By 4/5th I mean the BUIS is 4/5ths over to the right side of the sight. I think it is about 14 clicks from center. This week I will take it to N VA Gun Works, the best smith in the area. Very expensive but it will be done right. Otherwise I must say the LMT is a very nice gun. No feed problems and real soft reecoil.

I think you should contact long-rifle-tactical if you are going to have it fixed.  He's in NOVA and he's probably worked on more ARs than most out there

Where did you purchase the upper?  Have you tried to contact LMT yet?

I will look Long Range up. Got  the upper & lower from Quantico arms and did email LMT. Got a response too. They seem willing to take care of the problem so I have several options. I posted here to see if this is something I shoulg let go or address. Looks like it is going somewhere to be fixed. Thanks for the help.
