[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Buffer retaining detent problem

New build...

Putting an ACE M4 Buttstock on a Oly lower, Model 1 upper...the buffer detent works fine until I cycle the bolt...the buffer detent & spring come out and end up in the lower near the trigger assembly... the bolt still cycles but I'm not comfortable with "extra parts" flopping around

Make sure your receiver extension (buffer tube) is screwed in far enough. The edge of the tube should overlap the buffer retaining pin all the way to the small tip that sticks up.

Thanks...fixed the problem.. ..I was busy looking for everything but the obvious!
