![]() ![]() Continous battle with my LMT franky. It's a 16" LMT upper, LMT "enhanced" bolt with standard carrier. Mated on top of a MEGA lower, with a BM LPK+ J&T D bolt catch with a Magpul M93A stock, using LMT H-buffer and spring. When I first shot the rifle, I was having problems with the bolt not locking back on the last round. It felt like it was short stroking. I sent it back to LMT. They claim my bolt catch was off or something, so they replaced it with an LMT bolt catch. I shoot it, and the LMT bolt catch breaks on me after about 15 rounds. I then replaced it with the J&TD bolt catch. That bolt catch is actually thicker than the BM or LMT bolt catch. It feels up the lower space fully. Anyways, I ran through 2 30rd magazines perfectly through my LMT franky. I was quite estatic. Well, soon after though, I was getting a new problem. Now my rifle wont load rounds. Well, at least not consistently. The bolt will push the top round about 1/4 to 1/2 inch out of the magazine, then stop. Several times, when the rifle was in a middle of a magazine, I pull the trigger and nothing happens. No click. No hammer falling. I check to see if i got another failure to load. I see the bolt is fully forward. I pull on the charging handle and see a live round fly out of my chamber. I pull the trigger and bang it goes. When I have the bolt back and loading a fresh magazine. I'll slap the bolt catch to release the bolt, and the bolt will hang up again on the top round. This rifle has less than 400 rounds through it because of all the problems I run into. PS, the bolt is now locking back on the last round of every magazine. It will also lock back when I hold the bolt catch down. Any ideas as to whats up? |
My magazines should be fine. They are DPMS 30rd magazines, which were made by Labelle. These magazines run perfectly fine through my BM rifle. So in my eyes, they are proven magazines. |
