I have a Colt Preban 7.62-39cal. carbine I want to install a collapsible stock onto-

And I also have a .223 Bushmaster cabine and want to install one on that rifle also. Can the same spring be used in both, or should I use the Colt spring in the collapsible stock with the buffer tube supplied ?

There is no difference in 7.62SOV and 5.56 action/recoil/buffer springs.

Thanks, so I can order two of the same adjustable stocks and use them on the Colt and the Bushmaster cabines being 7.62-39 and .223 respectfully --[:o]

The only difference I am aware of is

Carbine springs are shorter than M2 springs.

Action spring rifle is 12.5 inches long.

Action spring carbine is 10.7 inches long.
