| Alright I've put in a ton of triggers and hammers, but I've never run into this problem. Once the hammer is installed I can cock it and pull the trigger and it just slowly creeps into the upright position, even if I put it in w/o the spring it feels like it is binding up. I've tried two different hammers, two different triggers and two different pins, what gives it worked before? FWIW I'm going from a RRA 2-stage to a standard trigger. FWIW The hammers both work in a different lower. |

CIB, It sounds like the hammer is binding up. With the hammer in the receiver, with out the spring, see if you have some side-to-side movement. If not, then you will need to relieve the hammer sides(pin channel) to allow the hammer to move freely, without binding on the receiver sidewalls. Also, Depending on how much you take off the sides, you may want to use a counter sink and relieve the pin channel entryways to allow the pin to be cleanly feed into the hammer, and clean up any left over tool marks. Then check the detent spring (middle slot in the hammer), it may be sticking out and catching the bottom of the receiver. If this is the case, then check the spring and re-insert it and make sure that it will retain itself in the hammer. Now for the trigger, pull the trigger and re-check the hammer with out it. If the trigger has a set screw(over travel) or has a limited release after hammer release(somthing under the front of the trigger), the trigger sear may be holding the bottom of the hammer(increasing round after the sear) and binding up the movement. Hope this helps. |
| I bet I took that SOB out and put it in 30 friggin' times last night, trying different triggers, pins, and hammers. Started messing with it this afternoon second time it went in and works perfectly, got me? Thing about it is I took a RRA 2-stage out of it that worked fine. I must not have been holding my mouth right or something. |

CIB, Detent hammer spring hanging down, or what did you have buried under the trigger? The whole tongue twist concept only works when you’re installing the front takedown detent and pin, and only if you’re nude it the bathtub with the shower curtains closed to catch the detent/spring when they fly!!!! |
| There's probably 15 detents in the dark recesses of my basement, I've cussed one or two of those things as well. I'll tell you what my damn thumb is sore today, I think last night was as close as I've ever come to taking a ball peen to a receiver. Wife told me that if the kids had'nt already been in bed asleep she would've had to borrow a couple pairs of earplugs. Kinda funny looking back on it now. |

CIB, Spoken like a true WECSOG'er. My wife has banished me to the gun room/shop, with the doors closed and the radio playing a long time ago. Thank God, or our kids would have had to become truck drivers, due to the new language/phrases that they would have learned in a single night. Dano |
