Just received a C1 buttstock and Ergo grip from Cavalry Arms.  The buttstock went on easy enough, however, when I replaced the A2 grip and put the Ergo grip on, the safety selector became so loose, you can actually turn it with ease from the 9 o'clock, to 12 o'clock, to 3 o'clock positions.  You can also move it (safety selector) from side to side with ease and it actually sticks out approximately 1/16 of an inch.  When turning the selector, it doesn't give you that normal "click" either.  I tried replacing it several times, with the selector in various positions, but nothing seems to work.  Any suggestions?  Do you think the spring is too short for the grip hole?

Thanks in advance,

Bud

There is a detent and spring on the left side held in place by the pistol grip.  You probably lost the spring or the detent and the spring.  They are not expensive but need to be put back.

The safety mechanism is NOT reliable without them.

oldguy,

Thanks for your response.  In fact, it was the absence of the detent.  I had forgotten about it completely and just happened to have a spare.  I inserted it into the receiver hole, placed the spring in the grip and all is well.

Thanks again for your time,

Bud
