Found one today in an AR15.  First time I've come across this.  Anyone else have this happen?

I have noticed this also.  I had shot my ar last weekend and when I tore it down for a cleaning, I noticed my firing pin could pick up the firing pin retaining pin.  I do not know why this is...but it has not caused me any problems.  Has it caused you any?

No malfunctions, but my concern is that it could potentially cause enough drag on the FP to cause a light primer strike.  Most likely not an issue, but I found it odd.  There had been a similar issue where a few LEO Glocks been found to have magnetized strikers (firing pins) and there were malfunctions occurring.  It turns out they became magnetized due to MRI exposure.
