Plainly not. But do be sure to check/verify your point of impact with and without the bipod deployed. I would expect a noticeable shift due to the bipod being in direct contact with the barrel and affecting the barrel harmonics as a result. jmtcw. |

I've been looking for a M60 bipod.....Threw this together with some stuff laying around the shop....Keymod was for testing.....and is being replaced with a home grown barrel shroud that mimics an MG34 ....might look for a 34 bipod at Knob creek.... https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/163655/bump_saw-282351.jpg |

I think it's hot.
How do those hand guards work? Isn't the bottom completely open? Where did you get the bipod and how did you attach it? I know the colt light machine gun had a similar bipod. Honestly, while I think it looks awesome, I'm not a bipod guy. I bought one Harris style bipod and it's just collecting dust on a shelf. I've always used the roof of a car or a tree or fence post as a rest. That's the kinda gun that would look cool sitting on top of my entertainment center as a conversation piece though. |

Yes the bottom is completely open, I would have a specialized piece made to close it up - I could probably have a KAC M5 bottom rail modified to close it up nicely |
