I have several rifles that need to be build. Looking for barrel recommendations that wont break the bank. 16 inches. Looking for the best quality that I can afford or should I just save and build one at a time.
Thanks |

Faxon and Ballistic Advantage are some of the best values out there. Faxon, with which I have the most experience of the two, has been excellent. Great quality. Responsive company. Awesome products! I was never a lightweight profile guy until I tried Faxon's Gunner. Now I'm a convert. |

I can personally vouch for the BA barrels I have several guns with them, from 7.5" to 20" in various profiles and they are all great shooters.
Now I have friends that run Faxon and I have shot their barrels as well in many different profiles and they shoot well. Good quality barrels well worth the money they charge for them. |

There are many other brands but Faxon and Ballistic Advantage seem to be the top two best bang for your buck.  I have a Faxon 18 inch gunner that shoots great. |
| You can't go wrong with either BA or Faxon. I have numerous of both and both manufactures barrels group very well. Both are priced competitively with one another and cheaper than most of other quality barrels on the market. Currently right now you can get the BA barrels very cheap from Monmouthreloading.com and it's free shipping with their current sale. I like the new Faxon 14.5in Gunner profile with the pinned brake or Flash hider. I have the brake version and it is a well thought out product and groups well. |

I think Faxon is the way to go. Their cs is the best! When I installed my gas block on my 14-1/2" gunner with pinned fh, I farkled up the pin locating the gas block. This didn't affect the performance, just a cosmetic thing. I am admittedly OCD, and I emailed Nathan about getting a replacement pin. He dispatched a replacement pin and today 3 new pins arrived. Federal Express no less!!
If I ever build another rifle, I'll stick with Faxon! Rick |
