Cannot find the step by step assembly guides for AR lower builds. Wanted to send to a buddy doing his first build.
Used to be a nice guide with graphics linked on the old home page. The old threads on this now have bad links and return a "file not found" error code. Any idea where the are? Thanks! |

I made this a while ago since all the guides, including the one on here, were not comprehensive, or included things like vice grips when there are other tools you can use that may be less susceptible to damaging roll pins/lowers.
https://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/threads/ar15-lower-receiver-assembly-guide.1167622/ ETA: I will be revising the castle nut torqueing section to include the Geissele reaction block and the newer TM torque spec of 40 ft/lbs. |

You mean this thread
http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_4/226782_Assemble_your_own_LOWER__UPPER__FREE_FLOAT__TRIGGER__GAS_BLOCK___Step_by_step_instructions_.html All the embedded links are bad. Return an error message. They must have been moved, but those links not updated since they were posted in 2005... |

| Be forewarned that if you watch the Brownells videos, while comprehensive, they tell you that you need every tool they sell for the process and make them sound necessary. You can get by with very basic tools and homemade rigging, like wood makeshift vice block, it's just tougher to do and often more tedious with more room for error. |
