Even better is going to KAK's website. They sell tungsten buffer weights individually for like $7 a piece. I just picked up a bunch, along with some more of the buffer pads that go in between the weights. They sell all the buffer components individually. |

So I was looking into heavier buffers for two of my rifles when I stumbled across this pack of weights below on amazon for $27. I purchased a set and then upgraded the 2 standard carbine buffers to H (1 tungsten weight) and H2 (2 tungsten weights). The H was placed into my 16 mid length with a standard spring and my ejection went from 2-3 o'clock to 3-4, right where it should be. The H2 was placed in my 16 carbine with standard spring and again put my ejection right at 3-4 o'clock. Both are ejecting perfectly. Easy fix that I thought I would pass on. http://i892.photobucket.com/albums/ac124/bigjoe7757/68422671-AFB7-4291-B4AC-760AAD5609B8_zpssykvjx4h.jpg What size are those, and where did you get them? Every type like I've seen is too large diameter. I've NEVER seen ones that fit. I got mine at KAK, but they are specific to buffer weights... not a general item. |

Just check KAK site, pretty much build your buffer the way you want. That's awesome. Quoted:

No problem. Thanks for posting up your find on Amazon. |

Powder does not buffer the way the multiple weights do. Quoted:

Tungsten powder works great too. |

From my research the tungsten powder is lighter than cylinders. In fact, the article I read where someone did it, I think filling the whole buffer only gave same weight as an H buffer. Don't have link, but I recall it was disappointing.
Good source if those are identical size, I could only find tungsten weights on things like pinewood derby sites, and dimensions were not same. If KAK sells components, that is easy. I had to buy a couple H3 buffers and take them apart (needed 5 tungsten in my .308 buffer) ETA: KAK link wish I knew about them 2 months ago! ETA: Tungsten powder link, barely more than an H(H1) buffer. |

They were a hair cheaper. |
