I picked up some Gemtech shims for use installing a SJC Titan muzzle brake. Where do I shim it to finger tight before using a tool for final alignment? 1/8 turn? 1/4 turn? More? Less?

Try an 1/8 then torque to spec and see where you're at.

SJC doesn't list any kind of torque spec. Their instructions say a crush or peel washer and with Locktite 242. I don't plan on using the later, but might consider Rocksett. So 30-40 lbs of torque for a big ol' monster brake without glue?

I'm pretty sure 25ft/lbs and rocksett is recommended.
