Building a ''fake dissipator'' for the wife. This will be optics only, she can't get comfortable w/ irons. So she wants the Magpul rifle length on carbine bbl. I have the low g/b on and to hold the hand guard and end cap on, I need to hold this in place w/ a non functioning gas block near the end of the bbl which my calipers tell me is .730  . Will a low profile clamp or pinch style close enough (past .750 most are made for?) to squeeze down and hold in place? Anyone have any thoughts or experience on this ?

I have a YHM gas block/front flip sight.
I put a 10" DD Lite rail on my m4 profile barrel so I used a lo pro gb under handguard. Clamped the sight/gb forward of the rail to the barrel itself and never had a problem. I can send a pic if you IM me your # or email. Old pic as the gun was sold 2yrs ago. |
