| I trying to find out who would be the best reputable smith to install a FSB on a new barrel, that is to drill and ream for taper pins and most importantly make sure the FSB is level and aligned with the upper receiver? Thanks in advance |
| Thanks for the replies. I've researched Adco and I'm not exactly thrilled with some of their stances in their FAQ section. It would seem it's their way or no way leaving the customer with all the risk while they reap the benefit of getting paid. To my knowledge the barrels I'm interested in don't have the option of pre installed FSB, otherwise I would definitely go that route. If there's other options out there I'm interested in what they are. Thanks again |

You cannot ask a company to assume all risk when you are supplying components they have no control over. Use them with confidence. Just don't send them poor quality parts and all will be fine. |

Top Notch Top Ends. $60 for A2 FSB installed and that includes nitride barrels (UNLIKE ADCO) and that price INCLUDES FSB, HG cap, Barrel nut assembly (UNLIKE ADCO).
I'm sure ADCO does great work, but their prices are insane for what the work is ($105+ just for labor, no parts?? GTFO). ETA: and before some says "but, but, but... no one else does such a great job...". FAXON uses TNTE exclusively. You trying to tell me Faxon's aren't done right? NO, didn't think so. http://www.tntesales.com/front-sight-base-pinning/ |

Yeah, John at Retro Arms Works has done a lot of the type of work RetMP09 is asking about, and does it very well. On top of that, John is actually a very nice and reasonable guy. HighSpeedSteel |
