For about 2 weeks now I have been thinking about building a AR Pistol.  Question is do I really need one.  Guys who own a AR Pistol how often do you shoot them compared to your full size AR ?

My dilemma after owning a AK Pistol I seldom shot it until I converted it into a rifle.

Well one big difference is that with the AR buffer tube, it gives you a reliable reference point to get a cheek weld and get reliable results when shooting.

The answer of course is, if you don't have one you need one. If you do have one you need two.

Ask yourself the real difficult question: Why are you even entertaining the idea of an AR pistol? Would you still want a pistol if not for the NFA restrictions? Most "pistol" owners who are completely honest with you will admit that what they actually want is an SBR. They are either not allowed because of local laws, or are intimidated by the NFA bureaucracy process and a $200 stamp. Just look at the Sig Brace and Shockwave brace sagas to understand how many really are just looking for an SBR without the paperwork.
