I just finished a new lower for my wilson 458 socom.  I used a spikes lower and a palmeto armory magpul lower kit that comes with a with the palmeto enhance polished trigger (EPT).  I know its a mismatch but it is what my budget allowed for now.
Anyways the trigger is a crisp 7.5 to 8 pounds one stage carrot break trigger.
I realized I installed the disconnector spring upside down but I cannot imagine that is causing it go to 7.5 pounds.

I did not have time to change it and retry, but I will do so in a couple days when I get free time.

Any possible causes of such heavy trigger?
If it was five pounds I might call it a very good trigger but its too heavy.

I will eventually (or maybe sooner now) put in in a Geiselle but would like to use what I have now if it I can fix it.

Thanks.

Alex:  The only thing I can think of is to change out the springs.  Get a "yellow" FCG spring set from JP Rifles, cost is about $11.  With a GI trigger, the pull weight with yellows is about 4.5 lbs. good luck - CW
