Hey whats up everyone.

So I cant seem to install my Spikes Dynacomp muzzle brake correctly on to my rifle. I have not been able to align the bottom part of the brake where it should go. I cant push the brake any further.
Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong and how to resolve this.

Thanks" />

New crush washer, and shims.  Can also flip the crush washer the other way, to see if it helps.

I was going to suggest the same thing. It seems it can only be a crush washer/shim issue.

No. Use a crush washer OR shims. If you need both something is farked. Op, have you ever used a crush washer before? Once it gets tight, back off then go at it again and it'll crush further. They're only adjustable one way; if you go too far you have to toss it and get a new one.

Also, that crush washer is the right way. Don't flip it around.

I file the crush washer with a flat file on the rounded side to get the brake to clock in the correct position.

Do not flip washer, do not file crush washer. Use a crush washer correctly  OR get a set of accu washers and use the appropriate single washer OR use a jam nut. Do not use more than 1 method to time your muzzle device and if you can't figure it out take it to your local gunsmith.

Looks like your only a little over a 1/4 turn from being on.
Tighten, loosen, tighten, loosen, ect and it will go. I cant see that washer even being close to over done.

Mil-spec crush washers are designed to turn up to 1-1/4 turns with a quarter turn minimum.
They are rated for one use.
I use barrel vise jaws as close to the muzzle as I can get and lube the washer with barrel nut assembly grease.

You need to take that rail off so you can clamp the barrel, then start "Ironing" the brake on, once it tightens a bit, then back off and go at it again, then back off and do it again, you will be able to get it timed, it just takes a bit of time to get it right, the first time I did one, I thought I would go bonkers trying to get it right.

I have never had that much trouble from a crush washer.
Of course I have only used a few in the last several years as I almost never install muzzle devices that use crush washers these days.
