So I've had a lower receiver sitting around at home for a while now and I think I wanna finally do a build when I come back off deployment. Since this will be my first build I do have a few basic questions...
1) What's the consensus on Palmetto State Armory receiver sets? 2) Regarding the springs and pins, is there any reason to go with a specific brand or are spring/pin sets pretty much the same across the board? 3) What parts should I pay closer attention to in order to ensure reliability and accuracy? Thanks. |

Quoted:
PSA is GtG, most spring and pin sets are as well PSA offers many with standard or upgraded triggers. I'd say barrel, BCG and trigger are your 3 most important parts. Damn, came here to give input, but FPNI. I will add that in addition to the barrel, bcg, and trigger, ergonomics(grip/stock) and the optic are also important. |

PSA’s premium line seems ok, but the cheaper line not so much.
I have seen a number of cheaper sets of small parts that had items that were out of spec. Nothing can compensate for a bad barrel. When you have been on the forums long enough you will see issues with things a person would not think would be a problem. So attention to detail in all things. |

I didn't know what FPNI was either. I went here but it's not on the list.... http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_169/560217_Acronyms_and_Abbreviations_in_common_use_on_AR15_com.html&page=1 |
