I have a carbine with 16" bbl and mid gas set up.  It also has an adjustable gas block and I'm currently running a heavier than standard buffer...forgot which...one step up from standard. I'm changing a std collapsing stock to a PRS which requires a rifle length mil spec extension /tube.  Which spring and buffer do I use? Or keep the same buffer?  Any other tips /tricks much appreciated.  This gun is a bench gun and occasional coyote killer.  Thanks

$6, Colt AR15 Buffer Spring

$40, Colt H2 Buffer

I'd probably risk a secondhand buffer before the buffer spring.  Not all springs are created equal, and charging $20+ for a $6 part is a fucking scam.

NO!

He stated he is going to a Magpul PRS using a RIFLE length receiver extension.

Rifle length spring

Rifle length buffer

You do NOT want to run a Carbine buffer in a Rifle tube, you'll have carrier key impacts on the lower receiver ring.

Thanks, Pursuit.  So, when I change the weight of my buffer, I'm necessarily going to  have to adjust my gas pressure??

Not necessarily, first shoot it then change if necessary.

Whoops, good catch!  I completely read that to be the opposite.
