I put JP green springs in three of my rifles and now the springs are back in the bags they came in. https://www.jprifles.com/buy.php?item=JPS3.5 I started using them despite the warning that they may not ignite some ammo. Well I was not using any of that ammo and I still had repeated problems with light primer strikes. I did all kinds of troubleshooting and it was not an assembly problem nor any other problems with my rifles. As soon as I put the mil-spec springs back in, the problem went away. So my question is- Where is best place to get "compromise" springs, somewhere between the JP greens (4.5 lb.) and mil-spec. ? I've had springs from Palmetto State Armory LPK's yield a 6.5 lb. pull and springs from DPMS kits at 9.5 !! |
| Your answer really still is JP springs, if you didn't cut the tail off your existing hammer you may have issues as JP states with their yellow spring set. Your likely resolve is using their red hammer spring and all should be good and if you call JP they just might switch it out for you if you ask nicely. |

Why not just order a good trigger and be done with it?
LaRue MBTs are $125 if you don't mind waiting a little while. This trigger is sweet. I have 2 of them and 8 of the Geiselle SSAs. Both are awesome crisp triggers. The LaRue beats anything hands down due to price. |
