Hi guys.  I'm new to the forum so let me know if I'm posting in the wrong area or don't have all the appropriate info with my issue

I just got finished with my 3rd AR build and ran into my first ever issue with a rifle.  I ran about 3-400 rounds through the rifle and within the last 3 days, it's started with feeding issues.  When I fire a round, it ejects fine and the next round fails to feed.  The round is caught midway into the chamber.  When I extract the round, the bullet is bent and the casing has 2 deep grooves right below the neck.  It looks like it's catching on the feed ramp but I'm no gunsmith.  I've tried multiple magazines including PMag, MFT, Troy, and at least one other.  I can't associate it with the magazine as it happens at random and at least once with each kind of magazine. The weird part is I'll run 100 rounds with no issue then have 3 issues in one mag. I'm not sure how to share pics on here but I'm going to try.  I've attached a couple of pics of the failure in the rifle as well as a pic of the affected round.  Any advice would be good.  I've also provided a little info on the upper/lower.  Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

Lower: PSA
LPK: PSA Premium LPK with no FCG
Buffer: PSA Premium Mil-Spec tube/PSA carbine spring/PSA carbine buffer
Upper: PSA Ultralightweight CHF Mid-Length
BCG: PSA premium full auto

Try a different magazine.
Try a different lower.
Try a different BCG.

That's the easiest ways to eliminate any parts that are NOT causing the issue.

I'll start there. I have my other rifles that I can swap parts on and give it a try to narrow things down.

Out of curiosity, is that a nitride QPQ bolt and bolt carrier?  What's you're experience with that?

Having said that, I once had issues with chambering rounds in a newly built AR308 . . . it turned out that this was my first build and I didn't properly tighten the barrel nut down.  That is, I tightened it down one time, but then never loosened it and re-tightened it down three times...like people say to do.  And I remember thinking to myself, that's a dumb thing and it doesn't make any sense and I don't need to tighten and loosen and re-tighten.  But then once I took off the barrel and re-tightened it down (using all the same parts in the rest of the rifle) the problem went away.

I agree with the above post about changing out parts to eliminate possibilities of those parts causing the problem.  But assuming that doesn't identify and correct the problem, then take off the barrel and put it back on.  Retest.

Ok, here goes.  This is what we did to troubleshoot....

1. Swapped to 3 different lowers. Result: failures continued
2. Swapped mags to some mil-spec metal mags, PMags, Troys, MFT, PSA.  Result: failures continued
3. Swapped the BCG to a Spikes. Result: zero failures through 30 rounds
4. Swapped BCG back to PSA. Result: failure within 3 rounds
5. Swapped BCG back to the Spikes. Result: zero failures through 50 rounds
6. Swapped BCG back to PSA. Result: failure on second round

I think I've got it narrowed down to the BCG.  I'm going to break it down fully to clean an oil then give it one more shot.  Since it's only 35 days old, I'm definitely going to talk to PSA about this one. There definitely has to be something wrong with it because the Spikes BCG was extremely dirty and had zero issues.

Here is the BCG that I have:  http://palmettostatearmory.com/review/product/list/id/15174/category/332/
Any experience with these?
