Needed a little play time from work...so I decided to throw this together.....it is stupid loud with a huge fireball.... .will try and get a frame capture of the fireball.....
If there is enough interest we can do a run of the barrels and gas block/tube combo........ 5 inch test

How big is the gas port? Is it basically a second bore perpendicular to the rifled one? Lol. actually the next test barrel I make, the gas port will be even smaller than this one...... and this one is pretty damn small.....

Is the gas port to close to the end of the barrel? As far as handguards go, I use knurled free floats, I've had to hacksaw them before to fit. If an A2 sight will fit where your gas block is it should be OK. Do you have a ball park price? |

Problem with the round free float is the gas block I use requires a straight tube with no offset.....and a pinned in gas tube.......I can make one with a fsb....but it'd be a one off custom and will require a custom gas tube.... Soon as I get a quote on barrel blanks and figure the time on the gas blocks I'll post up some pricing in the Macon Armory Industry Partner forum..... |
