I needed to remove my gas block (low profile with 2 set screws in the bottom), and in the process of having to rotate it around the barrel to loosen it up, I scored the inside of the gas block right where the bleed hole is located.  The scoring goes pretty much 360* around the inside of the gas block and parts the middle of the bleed hole and one of the set screw holes.  Evidently, where I drilled small dimples in the barrel for the set screws to tighten into, it must have slightly made some of the barrel metal proud of the barrel.  My question is, is the gas block salvageable, or did I make it necessary to purchase another one?  Thanks.

It shouldn't be a problem. If it does call a leak carbon build up will solve that pretty quickly. Gas blocks often have leaks when first installed anyway I've had several that did.
