Hi All,
So I bought 3 0% lowers thinking that the first would likely not make it. I learned a ton from it and when done I thought it would atleast be shootable. Well turns out my buffer tube is too low in the rcvr. Any suggestions? I'm fairly sure I will just have to let this one go. Thought about milling it to the correct position, filling the perimeter with jb weld and re-tapping. Only thing is I'm not sure if it is going to be strong enough. Anyway progressing much better with the second lower :) -Ry |

you're not out anything except time and JB weld. give it a shot if that's the only thing wrong with it. It may just be good practice for the next time you will need to do this. Quoted:

Pistons replace the gas tube, not the buffer tube. OP, you could use it with a .22 upper. Quoted:

How low exactly? Back in the day, when I was useing cast lowers, if I got the receiver extension threads crooked I'd grind down the bolt carrier so it wouldn't bind up. If we're talking like 1/8" I'd give that a try. Unfortunately I'm well over an 8'th. |

if you drilled the dimple in the rear in the correct relationship to the buffer tube hole but both were off you might try
