Hello all. Does anyone have any experience with both of these combos to comment on your opinion of one vs the other? This would be for a midlength 5.56. Just interested in people's opinions on overall recoil comfort, smoothness of impulse, which slows the bolt better, etc... thanks!

A WHITE with either the H or H2 will be fine.

The BLUE is typically too much for a middy, especially with weaker ammo.

Thanks for the response. If the ammo was taken out of the equation and remained a constant assuming only full strength 5.56 would be used, what would the recoil characteristics of one combo be vs the other?

If I only shot full/high-power ammunition:  standard/WHITE and an H2.

I run the Blue enhanced power spring with the H2 and it functions flawlessly.

This is from the Tactical Springs website: “BLUE Spring” ENHANCED Power Buffer Spring, Offers improved performance with most non-suppressed 12.5"-14.5" SBR's, 16" DI Mid-Length BBLS, and all mid-length uppers with adjustable gas blocks. Best performance is usually achieved using buffers ranging from ST-2T, H2, DPMS Extra Heavy Buffer. Will run in 18"+ Length BBL RRA'S with ST-T2 Buffers. Color Coded BLUE

This. I have 3 BCM LW 16" middys w/the Blue/H2 combo and all run 100% w/PMC 55gr .223 (the weakest ammo I shoot).
