So ive been reading around on this site and through reviews and pictures of other peoples builds. (Finally made an account and decided to consult you guys on advise) With all of these reviews and pictures ive been brain storming a build id like to start this summer. I have a fairly limited budget, so i wasnt planning on a high-dollar-1,000-yard-tack-driver. (Not really in the market for expensive trijicon glass, or keymod rails or anything like that, however that be pretty sweet)
So heres my plan: A some-what M16a3 looking setup, mainly going to be out killing some paper bad guys at the range and something that will still be able to take abit of some abuse for SHTF if need be. A Del-ton 20" government rifle kit (A2 handguards and full stock) A stripped lower (Probably a Del-ton, Andersons, or anyhting i can pick up) Carry handle rearsight at first, then thinking of getting an optic. (Toss up between a PA AA reddot, or a NcStar 3-9x42 USS with reddot, or if any of you can suggest something better) Would also like to strap it up with a specter gear stock mag pouch and one of their 2-point slings, also want to get a side mounted sling swivel mounted to the barrel TMC Mount-N-Slot handguard mount for a flashlight A Hogue pistol grip with the AA battery insert for flashlight batteries (Maybe for the optic too) Was also going to keep a cleaning kit and some backup batteries in the stock How do you guys think this setup/build would work? Ive read some pretty good views on Del-ton as well as Primary arms and Specter Gear Any suggestions? |
| Sounds like a good setup for what you're going with. Only input I have is the towards the optic. PA customer service is incredible. NCstar is deemed worthy for airsoft around here. With your 20 inch barrel, You might want a bit more magnification than just a red dot. Just a thought. |
