I'm working on my upper receiver and was getting ready to put the upper receiver in the vise block. However, it won't fit, as there are a couple of protrusions on either side of the receiver that won't allow the vise block to close. There is a triangular protrusion in front of the forward assist portal and a more shallow rectangular one on the opposite side towards the front of the upper receiver. Has anyone run into this problem? I purchased the vise block from Amazon. I also know I could probably make one out of wood, but I'd prefer to have one the fits properly. Thanks for any assist.
