I'm looking to build a lightweight rifle for my teenaged daughter's 16th birthday in ~6 weeks. I already have a stripped lower. I've been looking at rifle kits and not finding much in stock, and am now considering buying the pieces individually. I'm looking for suggestions. I'm on a budget. I'd like to keep it under $500, but I know that's going to be tough. $600 TOPS with either detachable carry handle or rear BUIS. Standard FSB is fine. Optics/Reflex can come later. A3 flat top upper, no A1/A2. I have a receiver block, barrel wrench, etc. So I won't need to spend any money on tools. I'd prefer 16" & threaded over 14.5" and pinned. Standard FSB Suggestions? |
| You could buy a lower part kit with stock and assembly and an upper with bcg and charging handle from psa for around 500. They have magpul stock kits with lpk for 129 and they have a 16 inch PTAC complete upper for 269 without a hand guard. Pick up a magpul hanguard and your done. |
