Thanks! I'm actually considering this scope https://www.primaryarms.com/Primary_Arms_4_14X44_FFP_Scope_with_308_p/pa4-14xffp308.htm
Thoughts? Experience? |

When the glass gets mounted you'll probably find you want a side charging upper. My next SPR build will use a side charger. I get by with a Magpul bolt hold open device to be able to drop the bolt easier while prone. I also decided to go with a low mass buffer, low mass carrier, extra power recoil spring, and adjustable gas block. That helps keeps the rifle settled to see hits through the optics easier.
The PA scope is adequate. The one you linked is for .308 ballistics, can't readily see that you have a .308 though. The scope shouldn't have an issue holding zero. It might pass the box test for dial adjustment, glass is nothing special but not horrible. For the money being put into the rifle with Noveske parts I think you should look at the Vortex Diamondback, or Viper, series scopes at a minimum. |

Very good looking rifle, I'll say that I had one of these on my SPR just to get me by for a month or two and while it was nice, I was not that impressed. I sold it and am waiting on my new glass now. Agreed, I'm honestly thinking about switching my SPR into a side charging set up. Just makes more sense to me really. |
| I got a Leupold Mark AR Mod 1 3-9 and Bobro mount for my SPR and I am VERY happy with the setup. Glass is great and it has a mil-dot reticle and mil adjustments. I did a decent amount of research that scope seemed to be the best option without making a big jump in price. The Bobro mount was on sale for $159 about 2 months ago at Rainier Arms. Not sure if it still is but after doing a lot of research it seemed like the best available qd mount, and the sale price was cheaper than larue. Just some ideas for you. |

Really looks nice. I would recommend a variable power scope with higher magnification at the top end. I've got a Vortex Viper 5-15x riding on my SPR right now. I like it because I can see my .223 holes at 100 yards, no need for a spotting scope. I have a Super Sniper 10x and another 16x, neither one is clear enough to see my bullet holes at 100. If your on a budget, this Viper is on closeout at SWFA. http://swfa.com/Vortex-6-24x50-Viper-HS-30mm-Rifle-Scope-P78643.aspx For a QD scope mount, right now Bobro has a really nice design. I like my Bobro better than my Larue mounts, which I prefer to my ADM mounts. All three are good quality. |
