I've found stripped Bushmaster V-Match and Anderson stripped uppers at the same price with same cost on shipping. Which would you choose to put on an Anderson lower? I'm looking for a nice tight fit between my upper and lower and I assume it's be better to get the Anderson to match the lower? Or is this not necessarily true? Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance

No it's not nessisarally going to be better from the same manufacturer unless you buy a matched set. I have an anderson lower I bought and anderson upper the color is very slightly off but it does fit tight and lines up nice. I think it will just be luck of the draw. AiM had the best prices on stripped uppers I found. Think mine was 39 bucks

I just had an SAA upper built for my Aero Precision lower. It was so tight that my gunsmith said his Les Baer matched set didn't fit that well. Got the upperwith a barrel I bought on Surplus Ammo.

I have an Anderson lower with a YHM upper and the fit is nice and tight with minimal gap.

The only benefit to the Anderson upper is a better chance of a color match with the lower, but the Bushmaster should be darn close. There is no guarantee on a tighter fit when going with the same manufacturer for the upper and lower.

Which should I go with then you think? Bushmaster or Anderson?

Whichever you can get cheaper.

I always buy my uppers from a LGS so that I can test fit to my lower and pick the one I like.  It might cost me $10 to do so and is worth it to me...

I have no dealers in my area that carry upper receivers. They carry AR's but none of them carry uppers and the one local shop I could think of that MIGHT have one is owned by a major asshole whom I dislike so much I wouldn't even spend LESS money at his store I'd still rather by from an online dealer! So he's out of the question LOL. So ordering one it is...

I used an Anderson upper and lower on this last build and the quality is up there with any other forging that comes out of Cerro.

The SAA forged lowers are actually made for them by Aero.

Cope's has Anderson MFG .223 blemished lowers on sale right now for $35.99.  That is a great deal.  I ordered 2 and used the FREE50 promo code and got free shipping as well.  2 lowers for $71.98 shipped before FFL fees is a steal!  Jump on it now boys they will be gone fast.

I have 5 Anderson lowers and they are all different. Different shades of black, different "fit" (some tighter to uppers than others, etc), different "finish" (some are more grainy, some are smoother, some are pebbey looking). The same goes for my Anderson stripped uppers.
They all work excellent, and are a fantastic deal, but if you're looking for a consistent "finish"... you'll not find it with them.
